SELF CARE TIPS FOR NEWBIE PARENTS

👙 If you’re breastfeeding, massage your boobs to help warn off mastitis⠀

🥘 Eat a beef and barley stew! The beef is great for replenishing your iron and the barley will help your milk come in!⠀
.⠀
🧍‍♀️book an appointment with a physio to check tour pelvic floor and Diastatis recto. @mummymot is great for this if you live in London⠀

🚿 Use a peri bottle/squeezy bottle whenever you go for a wee. It will help dilute the urine (which will stop any stinging in your nether regions!)⠀

☁️ Put a sanitary pad in a zip lock bag and then put it in the freezer then place on your Perinium to soothe it⠀
.⠀
🍲 Organise a “meal train” with friends/family. It’s a system where people can sign up to bring you meals!⠀
.⠀
🏥 If the hospital give you some of those Mesh granny pants that look like they are made from fishnet tights...ask if you can have some more! They are lifesavers!⠀
