5 things you might feel when you have a C-section⠀
*THE MUMMY CONCIERGE' GUIDE TO: 5 THINGS YOU *MIGHT* FEEL WHEN HAVING A C SECTION*⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
A lot of my Mummy Clients who are having c sections ask me what it actually *feels* like. Obviously every mummy is different so I can’t guarantee that what I experienced will be the same for you but what I CAN say is that I have had two caesarian sections and both of them were brilliant and didn’t hurt AT ALL. Sure, you will feel “sensations” but they certainly don’t HURT.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
Here’s my summary.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
1. TUGGING - I actually think that’s too strong a word. Tugging sounds painful and it is not. When your doctor has opened you up, you will feel as though something is moving inside your tummy (yup it’s his hands getting the baby out!) But this feeling is very similar to when your baby moved your tummy when you were pregnant.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
2. SHORTNESS OF BREATH - the doctor will have to press on the to of your uterus just before he delivers the baby and this pressure can make you feel slightly short of breath. It basically feels as if someone is pushing down on your chest but it literally lasts SECONDS. ⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
3. NUMBNESS - obviously you won’t be able to feel anything from your rib cage downwards, but it’s a strange sensation because you will be aware when someone is touching you. You won’t be ANY pain though so please don’t worry.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
4. PANIC - it’s completely normal. It’s scary having a c section but I can only confirm that it’s never as bad as you think it might be.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
5. SICK - sometimes you can feel a bit sick during a c section but if you do just tell the anaesthetist and they can give you some anti-sickness medicine .⠀
