How fathers can bond with their newborns

Dads need to be given the opportunity to bond with their newborn so here are my top tips for making that happen.⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
🥛 Get your partner involved with feeding time. Even if you are breastfeeding they can be in charge of “winding” which will also make you feel more of a “team.” If you’re bottle feeding, make at least one of the feeds “daddy feeding time.” ⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
🤗 schedule one some time when daddy and baby can have “cuddle time.”⠀⠀
It’s so easy to overlook this but by scheduling it into your day it gives you the freedom to have a shower/wash your hair and daddy and baby can have a lovely snuggle. ⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
🛁 make Bath time a family event! It’s always easier with two sets of hands but bath time is also a wonderful time to bond with your little one! You can even encourage your partner to jump into the bath with the baby!⠀⠀
.⠀⠀
📚 Take it in turns to read a bedtime story. Have a special stash of “daddy books” (I love “my daddy is my hero”) so he can have that special bonding time with the baby.⠀⠀
